Pädiatrie
Pediatrics encompasses the development and support of children and adolescents. It focuses not only on medical aspects but also on the everyday challenges that accompany children as they grow up.
When can occupational therapy be useful?
- Developmental delays
- Concentration and attention problems
- Motor coordination disorders of fine and gross motor skills
- Disorders of sensory integration
- Autism spectrum disorders
- Difficulties with learning or at school
- Unusual social behavior
- Early childhood brain damage or genetic syndromes (e.g., trisomy 21)
What does this look like in practice?
With playful and everyday exercises we promote, for example:
- body perception
- concentration and endurance
- motor skills
- social and emotional skills
We also take the child’s social environment into account – whether family, daycare or school – because development never happens in isolation.
