Neurologie
Neurology encompasses diseases of the nervous system—including the brain, spinal cord, and nerve pathways. It examines how these diseases affect movement, perception, thinking, and everyday functioning.
When can occupational therapy be useful?
✔ Disorders of the central nervous system, for example after strokes or in Parkinson's disease ✔ Nerve injuries such as traumatic brain injury ✔ Degenerative processes of the central nervous system, e.g., dementia ✔ Other neurological diseases, e.g., peripheral nerve damage
